Official Supplier of the Tennis Family House in Turin, Incalmi lent the Maniera system to the design of the foyer signed by Margherita Rui and presented the new Across coffee tables by Claudia Pignatal.

The Tennis Family House is the temporary hub that welcomed the guests of the Nitto ATP Finals 2025, the most prestigious tournament in men's tennis after the four Grand Slams, as well as the one that closes the professional season. For the occasion, Giorgio Galotti and Claudia Pignatal designed at the Teatro dei Ragazzi e Giovani Whispers, an exhibition itinerary between art and design that celebrates the city of Turin and pays homage to its double soul suspended between rationality and mystery. “I've been curating this project for five years,” explains Claudia Pignatal, “and since it could be the last year the tournament takes place in Turin, I wanted to pay homage to the city by exploring the theme of magic. Turin is in fact the only city in the world that belongs to the two triangles of magic: white, with Prague and Lyon; black with San Francisco and London.”

The exhibition itinerary involves many designers and artists, including Remo Salvadori and Francesco Cavaliere, who sign the sculptures outside; Jim Lambie, Micaela Pinero and Michele Zaza, who complete the foyer environment with their works; Adelaide Cioni, author of the large environmental installation on the theater stage; Liliana Moro, who produced two neon works for the bar area.

The foyer was entrusted to the designer Margherita Rui, who designed the site-specific installation Gea's portals, a sign path that welcomes the visitor from the entrance, a space suspended between abstraction, geometry and visual suggestion. The symbolic heart is the large central mural, composed of hand-painted terracotta tiles produced by the Sicilian company Ninefifty. “It's a tribute to the myth of Gea, a call to the earth,” Rui explains, “and I immediately thought of it as a temporary project.”

The tiles are mounted on Maniera, the innovative modular system designed and designed by Incalmi to decorate walls in a non-invasive way. “Manera allowed us to make the mural installation, to be able to imagine its relocation,” Rui continues. “The beauty of this system is also that it can be interpreted. I saw it at EDIT Naples played in a completely different key, it's really a palette to be used freely.” At the end of the event, every element of the system was reused: the tiles returned to Sicily, where the mural will be permanently placed, while Maniera can be moved to another location and dressed with other materials. A perfect example of a circular economy, where waste is reduced to a minimum and every element finds new life or is recycled. “Once I saw Margherita's project, I was the one who involved Incalmi,” Pignatal explains, “because I was interested in exploring the topic of sustainability.”

In the room, between the Tape sofas by Benjamin Hubert and the Square armchairs by Jonathan Olivares for Moroso, the coffee tables Across in stand out enameled copper designed by Claudia Pignatal and made by Incalmi. Copper origami characterized by a cross-shaped base, for the occasion have been interpreted in four variants that reflect the tables of classic games — chess, ludo, backgammon and fillet. The top is in champlevé enameled copper, an ancient technique, dating back to Roman times, which involves filling small cavities excavated on the surface with vitreous enamel.

“It's a project that Incalmi and I had been working on for some time: I was interested in experimenting with the use of copper and the enamel technique, the heart of Incalmi's identity,” explains Pignatal. “It seemed to us that the Nitto ATP Finals 2025 were a good opportunity to launch it even outside the world of professionals: hence the idea of reinterpreting these tables, already made in other shapes and materials, like gaming boards.”
